Ourside project This is ME

Project THIS IS ME!

Back in January 2022, I had the pleasure of working on a project with the young people of Ourside Youth Club, the project was about them as an individual and what/who they love and anything that represents or inspires them, once captured in an image these were then layered to create a colourful collage that was them.

This was a collage that I put together so everyone could see what we were looking to achieve.

I've taken a selfie then layered photos of my camera, the Vespa scooter I ride and my neurotic cat who likes to hide behind the sofa most of the time!

In the gallery are some of the young peoples creations, that they created using smart phones or tablets and the free photo editing software snapseed.

INSTRUCTIONS:

This project is based on you and things you identify, represent or love, they are all put together to make an original collage of you.

Tip....if you are stuck for ideas then using a pen and paper, draw a person and then write things you like and love around it, this will help you visulise your creation.

 

You will need a phone or tablet or camera, if you have software for editing that’s great if not download the app Snapseed (its free) and you can edit your edit your photos.

Take one selfie photo of yourself or ask a friend. Tip…leave space around you, or space to 1 side or above or below.

Take between 5 to 12 photos of the things you love or represent you. You may already have some photos or you can find images on the web.

This is important: make sure you edit all the photos in your editing software or Snapseed to how you want them to look before you begin to layer them.

Then the final step to create your masterpiece is to layer them in your editing software or Snapseed.

Once you are happy with the final edit export to your gallery for you to keep.
